I opened the book to the month of April, 2001, and re-lived a traumatic period in my life.

I was overseas, alone and pregnant. It was an unplanned pregnancy and I was at a stage in my life where I thought I could further my education by beginning a Master's degree in education.

I was lost and utterly alone. I had no real friends around and I did not have a relationship with God--at that stage, I wasn't even sure whether He was real.

But God is good--in fact He is great! Six years on, I look at my beautiful five-year-old daughter and thank Him for her role in my life. I also thank Him because I have started my Masters at a local university. Last year, I was at an educational research conference in Rotorua with a colleague of mine. It was at that conference that we were blessed with a scholarship to begin our Master's program this year. God not only remembered the desires of my heart from so long ago--even I had forgotten about it--but He also provided a way I would be able to complete my studies without paying for it. My Father truly is Jehovah Jireh!

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. Psalm 37:4.
